Let It Be - The Beatles

Let It Be - The Beatles

When I find myself in times of trouble,
mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom,
let it be. Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer.
let it be. Let it be, let it be, .....
And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me, shine until tomorrow,
let it be. I wake up to the sound of music,
mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom,
let it be. Let it be, let it be,

Play-A-Day (Day 9)

Lights up on a room. Inside the room are three bodies motionless in the room. The first is a middle aged woman who is on the floor next to a phone which is off the hook and the operators voice can be heard every once in a while. Next to her on the ground is a broken drinking glass. A small pool of blood has formed around her on the ground. She has 3 bullet wounds in her clothes. Around each one there is a small blood stain. across the room on the other side of the bed is a young boy with one bullet wound to his head. Next to him is a bible. His eyes remain open and blank. Across the room against the wall is a small crib with a young baby inside of it. The baby is motionless and appears slightly blue. Hanging over the crib of the baby is a small cross necklace. The room aside from the crib, bed, and table there is also a nightstand next to where the bed is. Also next to the wall where the middle aged woman is there are two bullet holes in the wall. Around the floor glass is remaining from the glass that was broken. A mans' voice is then heard from offstage as if it were in a different room.

Man (offstage)
Honey! I'm home. Honey? Hey sorry i'm late it was a rough day at the office. Thanks for leaving the door unlocked for me. Have you put the kids to bed yet? Honey? Hello? Where are you. Hello? Is anyone home?

The mans' voice progressively gets closer to the room until it is right outside. He then enters the room from offstage.

Hello? Hon [Seeing the scene before him] Oh god.

He then rushes over to the woman and picks her up into his arms and strokes her hair

Mary, Please no, no no no Mary... Please don't be gone. Mary...

He kisses her on the head and begins to sob and looks up and see the crib and his eyes widen. He gently places Mary upon the ground then slowly with hesitance moves towards the crib and sees the dead baby in the crib and in horror stumbles backwards and trips on the bed falling to the feet of the young boy and in desperation craddles the boy in his arms crying and speaking incoherently. Lights then slowly fade out on the scene.

Lights come up again with the man passed out beside the bed where the son had been. Only know his family is sitting upon the bed. All of them alive and well. Each one with a brightness and glow in thier faces. They then begin to speak. The baby is being held in the mothers arms

Mary
Don't feel anger or hatred

Young boy
We are safe and togther

Mary
we are in a place of eternal beauty and grace

Young boy
Let this be a spark

Mary
To rekindle a lost desire

Young boy
A desire to make better

Mary
To make the world a better place

Young boy
For someone to raise their family in

Mary
Always know we are happy

Young boy
But also that we miss you dearly

Mary
And love you so very much

Lights fade
