Play-A-Day (Day 3)

Lights up on a lone man in the center of the stage. There is nothing special about this man. He stands alone. A lone light lights up his spot on the stage.

This is a story I must tell. No, this is more a warning I must give. Find within yourself what has the most meaning. What is buried and encased so deeply within your heart. That it is forever within your heart? Have you found it? That which you keep locked away deep within yourself? Or have you locked it so well it is untouchable? Do you still search? Or have you lost hope? Do you even remember what it was? Remember what it was that you'd so treasured to seal it away deep within you heart. Do you remember how you'd so planned at the right moment to let it grow towards the sky? Has the sight of the sky blinded you so that you've forgotten about the seed all along? Or is it even more than that? Is it that you have held it for so long that you fear it being exposed? Fear it's, perhaps, inability to fly? So instead you've chained it and you to a rock at the bottom of the ocean. With only moments left before you perish and with you, it. So when you're life is flashing before your eyes don't wait. Rip out your heart for all to see. Lay your armor down to the bottom of the sea and rise, rise towards the sky. Let who you are guide the way. Let what was within you all along be your light. Don't wait and don't be afraid of the road ahead. See the sky in its bright warmth and set sail towards the sun. So when your live is lost remember not to be afraid of what you've kept inside of you all along.
