Play-A-Day (Day 11)

Lights up on a podium all around is dark soon a man walks for he may be dressed however it is seen fit but there must be a sense of anarchy and rebellion to him. He confidently takes the podium and microphone upon it.

Man
[Erupting into the microphone] My Brothers and Sisters! Hear my words. Hear truth. Let not the lies of the currupt and misguided cloud your vision. There has been talk scattered amongst the ranks of misguide and disillusion. For not only the sake of your fellow brothers and sisters but of yourself open your eyes and see no longer blindness. There is a judgement forthcoming!

This draws thunderous applause and approval

We must prepare for the great diety who will bless of with its infinite and ever growing wisdom. Do you hear me my family! Do you hear this. The day of reconning is hence forth approaching. Let not it be these final moments in which you waiver from our noble cause. And let us never forget this noble cause. The cleansing of the earth with a brilliant holocaust. And when the nights sky is alit with the flames and ashes of the filth decadence of this world our great savior shall return to us. We who were noble to his cause. We who have led the rightious cause of sanctitude and purity. Now my brothers and sisters follow your gods wishes! Cleanse the world of this evil. Let the night sky burn bright! And may our hopes and prayers be answered in the great holocaust!

The crowd erupts into applause and becomes rabid and gunshots can be heard being shot into the air. Lights fade.

Clean Breaks - Dashboard Confessional

Clean Breaks - Dashboard Confessional

I believe in clean breaks,
I keep the old troubles away
But you're making sure
I was lying when I said
"I can leave,This behind"
I need you to ruin me
For this, finally,
'Cause it's burying me
Now, I'm in these old knots
Each move keeps me locked away
With each new embrace,
I have tied myself up.
More tightly, Into you
Oh, but the more I fight
Then the deeper I'm trapped
And I can't break free of this hold that you have
And I crave you more
Under the heat of your touch
And I need your skin
To ruin me
For this wicked town
Where your ghosts are bound
To me
One last sacrifice
Of this ritual escape
I was lying when I said...
"I believe,in clean breaks"

Play-A-Day (Day 10)

Lights up on a bus station. Sitting on a bench is a young man. He appears guilt ridden and unsure of what is going on in his mind. All around him are other people standing or sitting waiting for a bus to arrive. A voice over the intercom then announces the 6 o'clock to Boston has arrived and now boarding. The people around the man dispurse and he then slowly stands and walks towards the way the rest of the passengers had departed. As he is about to exit a young woman enters from the opposite side of the stage in a rush.

Woman
[Running over to the man and grabs his arm] Please don't do this. Stay. This can work.

Man
[Turning towards her] We've been through this already. I've given up way to much already for this. I have to free myself from you no matter how much it hurts.

Woman
Please i'm sorry that things happened the way they did before. We can make thing better.

Man
You don't have to be sorry. This isn't even your fault. This is who I am. And I can't let me do this to myself...Not for anyone

Woman
But what about everything we had. [Grabbing his hand with both of hers]

Man
I'll never forget all of it. Never. But I have to leave. I need to be able to breath free. I need to think clearly.

Woman
I'll give you space.

Man
That's not even what it is and i've told you that.

Woman
I know but all you've told me is that you lose yourself around me.

Man
And that's it exactly I lose me

Woman
Well what does that mean!

Man
That I don't care about me anymore that all i do is think about you and making you better.

Woman
Well stop being like that. I love you god damnit i love you

Man
I'm sorry, but i have to do this...

Woman
[Holding as tight as ever] please stay with me

Man
Maybe someday somewhere...

Woman then lets go of him and he walks offstage.

Woman
I love you

Let It Be - The Beatles

Let It Be - The Beatles

When I find myself in times of trouble,
mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom,
let it be. Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer.
let it be. Let it be, let it be, .....
And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me, shine until tomorrow,
let it be. I wake up to the sound of music,
mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom,
let it be. Let it be, let it be,

Play-A-Day (Day 9)

Lights up on a room. Inside the room are three bodies motionless in the room. The first is a middle aged woman who is on the floor next to a phone which is off the hook and the operators voice can be heard every once in a while. Next to her on the ground is a broken drinking glass. A small pool of blood has formed around her on the ground. She has 3 bullet wounds in her clothes. Around each one there is a small blood stain. across the room on the other side of the bed is a young boy with one bullet wound to his head. Next to him is a bible. His eyes remain open and blank. Across the room against the wall is a small crib with a young baby inside of it. The baby is motionless and appears slightly blue. Hanging over the crib of the baby is a small cross necklace. The room aside from the crib, bed, and table there is also a nightstand next to where the bed is. Also next to the wall where the middle aged woman is there are two bullet holes in the wall. Around the floor glass is remaining from the glass that was broken. A mans' voice is then heard from offstage as if it were in a different room.

Man (offstage)
Honey! I'm home. Honey? Hey sorry i'm late it was a rough day at the office. Thanks for leaving the door unlocked for me. Have you put the kids to bed yet? Honey? Hello? Where are you. Hello? Is anyone home?

The mans' voice progressively gets closer to the room until it is right outside. He then enters the room from offstage.

Hello? Hon [Seeing the scene before him] Oh god.

He then rushes over to the woman and picks her up into his arms and strokes her hair

Mary, Please no, no no no Mary... Please don't be gone. Mary...

He kisses her on the head and begins to sob and looks up and see the crib and his eyes widen. He gently places Mary upon the ground then slowly with hesitance moves towards the crib and sees the dead baby in the crib and in horror stumbles backwards and trips on the bed falling to the feet of the young boy and in desperation craddles the boy in his arms crying and speaking incoherently. Lights then slowly fade out on the scene.

Lights come up again with the man passed out beside the bed where the son had been. Only know his family is sitting upon the bed. All of them alive and well. Each one with a brightness and glow in thier faces. They then begin to speak. The baby is being held in the mothers arms

Mary
Don't feel anger or hatred

Young boy
We are safe and togther

Mary
we are in a place of eternal beauty and grace

Young boy
Let this be a spark

Mary
To rekindle a lost desire

Young boy
A desire to make better

Mary
To make the world a better place

Young boy
For someone to raise their family in

Mary
Always know we are happy

Young boy
But also that we miss you dearly

Mary
And love you so very much

Apologies - Grace Potter

Apologies - Grace Potter

Yesterday he said my eyes
Were fading fast away
I said well what do you expect
You asked me not to stay and if it had all been for the best
I wouldn't feel this way
And he said
Oh he said it's crazy
How love stays with me
You know it hurts me
Cause I don't wanna fight this war
It's amazing to see me reading through this scene
Of love and fear and apologies
My love is like a blanket
That gets a little bit too warm sometimes
I wanna wrap somebody in it
Who can hold me in his arms
Cause when it got a little too hot in there
He was always stepping out for air and he froze
Oh he froze
He said it's crazy
How love stays with me
You know it hurts me
Cause I don't wanna fight this war
It's amazing to see me reading through this scene
Of love and fear and apologies
Yesterday he looked at me
With a tear in his eye and said
I'll always tell you you're my friend
I hope i don't have to lie
Cause it's clear you love another man
I said you're damn rightAnd he said
He said it's crazy
How love stays with me
You know it hurts me
Cause I don't wanna fight this war
It's amazing to see me reading through this scene
Of love and fear and apologies
He said it's crazy
How love stays with me
You know it hurts me
That i didn't figure it out before
And now it's too late for a soliloquy
It's way too late for dignityIt's time for apologies

Play-A-Day (Day 8)

Lights up on a kitchen setting where a man is cooking eggs and bacon and other breakfast foods. He has a cheery look to him and is eager in anticipation. He is taking joy in what he is doing and talks to himself while he does it.

Man
[Cheery] She'll love this. Ok when she gets here go right over to her and kiss and make sure everything is ok. Ok you can do this. You're not going to let this fail

A woman a few moments later enters and barely even looks at the man. The man then moves over to her swiftly and moves into to kiss her but she moves away.

Woman
I'm sorry. Not right now...

Man
Oh uhmm ok. Look I made you breakfast. Your favorite

Man goes over and puts some on a plate for her.

Woman
[Before he finishes] No that's ok I ate already

The man then without missing a beat slams the plate to the ground and it shatters

Man
What the hell is going on!? Last night you tell me things arn't running that great and I work my ass off preparing all this and I try to be romantic for you. And what do you do! This, you just completely blow it off. [Calming down] ugh...I'm sorry. [Moving over to sit next to her] What is going on. Whatever it is, we can work it out. I promise. I'd do anything for you and you know that. I love you

Woman
I've been seeing someone else

From Yesterday - 30 Seconds To Mars

From Yesterday - 30 Seconds To Mars

He's a stranger to some
And a vision to none
He can never get enough,
Get enough of the one

For a fortune he'd quit
But it's hard to admit
How it ends and begins
On his face is a map of the world
(A map of the world)
On his face is a map of the world
(A map of the world)
From yesterday, it's coming!
From yesterday, the fear!
From yesterday, it calls him
But he doesn't want to write the message yet

On a mountain he sits, not of gold but of shit
through the blood he can look, see the life that he took
From the council of one
He'll decide what he's done with the innocent

On his face is a map of the world
(A map of the world)
On his face is a map of the world
(A map of the world)

From yesterday, it's coming!
From yesterday, the fear!
From yesterday, it calls him
But he doesn't want to write the message
He doesn't want to write the message
Doesn't want to write the message yet

On his face is a map of the world

From yesterday, it's coming!
From yesterday, the fear!
From yesterday, it calls him
But he doesn't want to write the message yet
From yesterday,
From yesterday,
From yesterday, the fear
From yesterday,
From yesterday
But he doesn't want to read the message
But he doesn't want to read the message
But he doesn't want to read the message here

Play-A-Day (Day 7)

Lights up on a room full of the worlds riches. From golden statues to crowns and golden jewelery. A man sits upon a throne. He remains there haphazardly with one of the largest crowns within the room upon his head. It sits upon his head crooked and nearly falling off. In his hand is a bottle, nearly empty, of liquor. Suddenly a arrow flies from offstage with the sound of a window shattering. The man moves to the window and gasps in horror at the sight before him and quickly runs away from the window and more arrows fly towards him, this time flaming. He moves to the original arrow which has a scroll attached to it. The man reads it out loud

Man
[Reading the scroll. With disgust] No longer shall your greed and oppression hold down the people of this kingdom. While your vaults have flowed with rivers of gold the people have starved on cold streets. No more will your blindness towards the people go unnoticed. With your head upon a spike on the city gate it shall serve as a warning to the next who would call himself savior and king. [No longer reading having thrown down the scroll] Ha! we'll see what you peasants shall do against the walls of my citadel! I'm a god you fools. A god!

Banging is then heard at a door and then its breaking down. This continues to happen getting louder and louder until it is at the chamber which the man is in and his door is burst down and men come streaming in surrounding the man.

Man
[Completely out of touch with reality] I am a god you fools! Bow before me else I cast a curse upon each of you!

One man steps forward with his sword raised and as the "god" continues his ranting swings at the mans head. Lights fade

Gira Con Me Questa Notte - Josh Groban

Gira Con Me Questa Notte - Josh Groban

Il mondo gira con me questa notte
Piccoli passi che faccio con te
Seguo il tuo cuore e seguo la luna
Cosi’ nascosta lontana da me
Il mondo gira con noi questa notte
Ah esistesse lontano da qui
Un posto dove scoprire il mio cuore
Sapere se lui puo’ amare o no

E girera e girera il cuore mio assieme a te
E girera il mondo girera
La mia vita e un giorno lui si s capira

Sei tu che giri con me questa notte
Sei tu che giri lontana da qui
Ma si io so che tu sei la mia luna
qualcosa mostri qualcosa no

Play-A-Day (Day 6)

Lights up on what is suppose to be a rooftop where a young boy and girl are lying. It is dark out and as little light as needed should be on them. They are staring at the stars.

Boy
[Leaning over the the girl her whispers something into her ear] Do you know what that means?

Girl
[Repeating it outloud] "Il mondo gira con noi questa notte" Something about the world wondering with us?

Boy
The world wanders with us tonight. I mean look at this. Look at where we are. Look into the stars. Look at where we're going with our lives. It's all one great big unknown. This world is as lost as we are.

Girl
Well we all have some idea where we are going. I mean at least an idea. You told me the other day you wanted to join the peace corps someday. So you have some idea.

Boy
An idea of what I want. Not of what will happen. What happens if getting off this roof right here i trip and fall and end up in a wheel chair for the rest of my life? Don't know how possible the peace corps will be then.

Girl
Well I guess you're right. But why would you want to think that way? Always being unsure always not knowing. Never having any real control?

Boy
I have no idea.

Girl
What do you mean you have no idea?

Boy
I have no idea why i would think that way or why I do think that way. I just do. I mean i think we have some control but it's impossible to have total control because we all have free will.

Girl
Well let's take control of right now. That is something we can do is it not?

Boy
We just might be able to [Turning and smiling at her]

Girl
Now it's my turn "Ah esistesse lontano da qui. Un posto dove scoprire il mio cuore"

Boy
May I discover it with you?

Girl
I dunno? You think we have enough control to discover something like that?

Boy
I guess we'll just have to find out. But I don't think it's as far away as you think.

Slow Dancing in a Burning Room - John Mayor

Slow Dancing in a Burning Room - John Mayor

It's not a silly little moment,
It's not the storm before the calm.
This is the deep and dying breath of
This love that we've been working on.

Can't seem to hold you like I want to
So I can feel you in my arms.
Nobody's gonna come and save you,
We pulled too many false alarms.

We're going down,
And you can see it too.
We're going down,
And you know that we're doomed.
My dear,
We're slow dancing in a burning room.

I was the one you always dreamed of,
You were the one I tried to draw.
How dare you say it's nothing to me?
Baby, you're the only light I ever saw.

I'll make the most of all the sadness,
You'll be a bitch because you can.
You try to hit me just to hurt me
So you leave me feeling dirty
Because you can't understand.

We're going down,
And you can see it too.
We're going down,
And you know that we're doomed.
My dear,
We're slow dancing in a burning room.

Go cry about it - why don't you?
Go cry about it - why don't you?
Go cry about it - why don't you?

My dear, we're slow dancing in a burning room,
Burning room,
Burning room,
Burning room,
Burning room.

Don't you think we oughta know by now?
Don't you think we shoulda learned somehow?
Don't you think we oughta know by now?
Don't you think we shoulda learned somehow?
Don't you think we oughta know by now?
Don't you think we shoulda learned somehow?
Don't you think we shoulda learned somehow?
Don't you think we shoulda learned somehow?
Don't you think we shoulda learned somehow?
Don't you think we shoulda learned somehow?

Play-A-Day (Day 5)

Lights up on a dimly lit bedroom in the room there is a man sitting on the edge of the bed with a woman sleeping still on her side. The light on the mans side of the bed is lit but the womans is not. A crash is heard from another room and the woman awakes abruptly. The man moves over to her to relax her.

Man
[Taking her hand] Shhh Shhh. Just lay back down.

Woman
[Not fully conherant] What's going on?

Man
I'm not really sure, but I think the building is on fire.

Woman
What!? Why are we still on here!

She jumps out of bed and rushes to the door and opens it but then quickly closes it

Oh god...What are we going to do?

Man
[Still sitting on the bed] I don't know.

The woman moves to sit beside the man on the bed. She buries her head within his chest and he wraps his arms around her. The man becomes upset and teary

I'm so sorry.

Woman
It's not your fault.

Man
No i should have awoken when it started. or something. I should have woken up. We could have gotten out. I'm so sorry...

man stands up and walks around the bed and in frustration picks up and throws the womans lamp across the stage one of the chunks knocks into a record player causing it to start playing a sad melodic tune. The Woman then stand and moves up next to the man and they wrap their arms around each other and slowly begin to sway in the music. Slowly smoke comes from under the door and the lights turn to an orange color and then slowly fade out.

Jumper - Third Eye Blind

Jumper - Third Eye Blind

I wish you would step back from that ledge, my friend
You could cut ties with all the lies
That you've been living in
And if you do not want to see me again
I would understand
I would understand
The angry boy, a bit too insane
Icing over a secret pain
You know you don't belong
You're the first to fight
You're way too loud
You're the flash of light
On a burial shroud
I know something's wrong
Well everyone I know has got a reason
To say
Put the past away
I wish you would step back from that ledge, my friend
You could cut ties with all the lies
That you've been living in
And if you do not want to see me again
I would understand
I would understand
Well, he's on the table
And he's gone to code
And I do not think anyone knows
What they are doing here
And your friends have left
You've been dismissed
I never thought it would come to this
And I
I want you to know
Everyone's got to face down the demons
Maybe today
We can put the past away
I wish you would step back from that ledge, my friend
You could cut ties with all the lies
That you've been living in
And if you do not want to see me again
I would understand
I would understand
I would understand
Can you put the past away
I wish you would step back from that ledge, my friend
I would understand...

Play-A-Day (Day 4)

Lights up on a bridge. This bridge is empty but it needs to be known it is from a substantial height. A young girl comes running across this bridge and when she gets to the center she moves out to the edge. She stands there for a moment then quickly looks behind her and begins to climb over the safety rail. She has finished climbing over when a young man comes running onto the bridge and in a panic screams

Older Man
Stop!

Young Girl
Why should I!?

Older Man
Because there's more to it than what you know!

Young Girl
What more do I need to know!?

Older Man
A lot.

Young Girl
Yeah well fuck you. Fuck you and your lies.

Older Man
Would you just listen to me for once!?

Young Girl
You act like I have no reason to be here!

Older Man
That's because you don't. If you'd just listen to me I could explain what happened.

Young Girl
I know exactly what happened! You raped her you bastard! You fucking raped her!

Older Man
So is that what she told you? Did she also tell you how there wasn't a night that went by when she wasn't drunk! How could she know if she'd been raped or not?

Young Girl
Maybe when I came!

The young girl lets go and falls to her death. The older man runs towards the spot but isn't able to stop her. Lights fade

Don't Wait - Dashboard Confessional

The sky glows
I see it shining when my eyes close
I hear your warnings but we both know
I'm gonna look at it again

Don't wait, Don't wait
The road is now a sudden sea
And suddenly, you're deep enough
To lay your armor down
To lay your armor down
To lay your armor down

You get one look
I'll show you something that the knife took.
A bit too early for my own good
Now let's not speak of it again

Don't wait, Don't wait
The road is now a sudden sea
And suddenly, you're deep enough
To lay your armor down
To lay your armor down
To lay your armor down

Don't wait, Don't wait
The lights will flash and fade away
The days will pass you by
Don't wait
To lay your armor down

Play-A-Day (Day 3)

Lights up on a lone man in the center of the stage. There is nothing special about this man. He stands alone. A lone light lights up his spot on the stage.

Man
This is a story I must tell. No, this is more a warning I must give. Find within yourself what has the most meaning. What is buried and encased so deeply within your heart. That it is forever within your heart? Have you found it? That which you keep locked away deep within yourself? Or have you locked it so well it is untouchable? Do you still search? Or have you lost hope? Do you even remember what it was? Remember what it was that you'd so treasured to seal it away deep within you heart. Do you remember how you'd so planned at the right moment to let it grow towards the sky? Has the sight of the sky blinded you so that you've forgotten about the seed all along? Or is it even more than that? Is it that you have held it for so long that you fear it being exposed? Fear it's, perhaps, inability to fly? So instead you've chained it and you to a rock at the bottom of the ocean. With only moments left before you perish and with you, it. So when you're life is flashing before your eyes don't wait. Rip out your heart for all to see. Lay your armor down to the bottom of the sea and rise, rise towards the sky. Let who you are guide the way. Let what was within you all along be your light. Don't wait and don't be afraid of the road ahead. See the sky in its bright warmth and set sail towards the sun. So when your live is lost remember not to be afraid of what you've kept inside of you all along.

Last Train Home - Lost Prophets

Last Train Home - Lost Prophets

One! Two! Three!

To every broken heart in here
Love was once a part, but now it's disappeared
She told me that it's all a part of the choices that your making
Even when you think you're right
You have to give to take

But there's still tomorrow
Forget the sorrow
And I can be on the last train home
Watch it pass the day
As it fades away
No more time to care
No more time, today

But we sing
If we're going nowhere
Yeah we sing
If it's not enough
And we sing
Sing without a reason
To ever fall in love

I wonder if you're listening
Picking up on the signals
Sent back from within
Sometimes it feels like I don't really know whats going on
Time and time again it seems like everything is wrong in here

But there's still tomorrow
Forget the sorrow
And I can be on the last train home
Watch it pass the day
As it fades away
No more time to care
No more time, today

But we sing
If we're going nowhere
Yeah we sing
If it's not enough
And we sing
Sing without a reason
To ever fall in love

Well we sing if we're going nowhere
Yeah we sing if it's not enough
And we sing
Sing without a reason to ever fall in love

But we sing
If we're going no where
Yeah we sing
If it's not enough
And we sing
Sing with out a reason to never fall in love
To never fall in love again

Play-A-Day (Day 2)

Lights up on a girl sitting waiting for a train in a train station. She sits there alone looking around as if waiting for someone but no one ever shows. She is wearing a large fur coat that while flattering to her does not appear to be something she would commonly be seen in by the way she carries herself in it. In her hand she is holding something small very closely and on occasion glances down at it. Every few moments or so she might utter a few indistinguishable words to herself. She constantly looks around for the person she is waiting for but with no luck. At one point she take the engagement ring she has on he finger off and stares at it before replacing it on her finger. Then as the train sounds its horn the girl stands and in her hand she reveals she'd been holding a picture and places it on the bench with a letter and inside of the letter she also places the ring which she had been wearing and walks offstage to the train. Then moments later a man runs on stage and looks frantically for her to no prevail. He slumps into the bench where he sees the letter in her handwriting and the picture of them together. He then reads the letter outloud.

Man
[Reading the letter] I'm so sorry things came to this. I must assume by now that you either never received my letter or as many had told me, you did not love me as you said. Whichever is true it's too late for us. I have left you a photo in hopes that perhaps something we had was real and that the photo is something you can remember us by. Regardless by now I'm on the last train home. Broken and ruined as my family swore I would be. No more can I say without worthless emotion flowing onto this page. Goodbye love.

Having finished the letter he collapses back into the bench dropping the letter. He then hears the ding of the ring hitting the ground and reaches for the envelope and finds the ring. Lights fade

The Runaways - Anberlin

The Runaways-Anberlin

Come closer now
I know your desire is to be desired
Steal a kiss yet call us friends
Distance is the thief in which you conspire

Turn and time and time will tell
Time will tell or tear us apart
You're miles and miles and miles away
Silence reveals where you really are

You only stand to break my heart
I can tell it by the way you runaway,
Runaway girl
You only stand to break my heart
I can tell it by the way you runaway,
Runaway girl
Runaway, runaway girl

It's clearer now
You're nowhere into giving
Giving into, giving into me
It's your fault
You're like a rare disease
I know you're in love
With love I believe

Turn and time and time will tell
Time will tell or tear us apart
You're miles and miles and miles away
Silence reveals where we really are

You only stand to break my heart
I can tell it by the way you runaway,
Runaway girl
You only stand to break my heart
I can tell it by the way you runaway,
Runaway girl
Runaway, runaway girl

Do you expect me to wait here?
(All alone in my thoughts and fears)
My whole life could crash before your eyes
(Hope one day that you realize)
This isn't the way it's supposed to be
(This is who I crown, now without me)
Your regrets from us built up inside
(Great space for you, love buried alive)
Buried alive

You only stand to break my heart
I can tell it by the way you runaway,
Runaway girl
You only stand to break my heart
I can tell it by the way you runaway,
Runaway girl
Runaway, runaway girl

I only stand to break your heart
You can tell it by the way I walk away,
Runaway girl
I only stand to break your heart
You can tell it by the way I run away,
Runaway girl

Play-a-day (Day 1)

Lights up on a bedroom where a teenage boy and teenage girl are sitting on the floor looking through old picture albums. They are sitting closer than normal friends would. But there is an awkwardness to both of them. They continue flipping through the pages until the boy accidentally brushes her in the arm while turning a page. She then looks at him and jokingly.

Girl
What was that for? [
Smiling at him] You got a problem huh?

Boy
[
Jokingly back at her] What if I do? Whatcha gonna do about it?

Girl
How about this?

She nudges back into him enough to make his head turn a bit then as he turns back to look at her she leans in and kisses him. All is then silent except for the flipping of pages through the album by the girl. The boy more or less stares at the girl with his mouth hanging open with a look of wondrous shock on his face.

Girl
Oh look at this picture [
She laughs] she looks absolutely ridiculous with that hat on.

Boy
[
Only slightly snapping out of it] Oh huh? oh yeah I know [Looking back to the album but still with a look of wonder on his face]

Girl
[
Looking out the window] Oh no. What time is it? It looks like it's getting late.

Boy
[
Looking at his watch] It's almost eight.

Girl
I should probably get home then.

Boy
[
With slight disappointment] Oh alright.

Girl
Well I had a really good time hanging out with you today.

Boy
Me too. We should do this again.

Girl
[
Collecting her stuff] I like that idea. [Heading towards the door] Well I should get going now.

Boy
Hey uhmm, Could I walk you home?

Girl
No it's ok you really don't need to

Boy
It's really no problem, I mean it's an excuse for me to get out of my house.

Girl
Well alright.

They both exit and lights fade
Lights up on a dark stage. The boy and girl are lying on the middle of that stage staring up at the stars. They lie close together with his arm around her and her arm on his chest. All is silent for a few moments.

Boy
[Quickly pointing to the sky] Look a shooting star! Make a wish.

She reaches her hand to touch his and they both close their eyes

Girl
Did you make a wish?

Boy
Yeah, I did.

Girl
What was it?

Boy
If I tell you it won't come true and this isn't something I don't want to come true.

Girl
[Turns her head to look at the boy] I promise I won't tell

Boy
[Loooking towards her, considering this for a moment] I wished you wouldn't have to move away.

Girl
[trying to find the words] Look, I've been trying to tell you something these past couple days...

Boy

[Moving away from her a little bit] What is it?

Girl
[Sitting up] We can't keep doing this.

Boy
[Now sitting up as well] Doing what?

Girl
This. Us. This being together.

Boy
[Trying to dodge a bullet] Well good thing we arn't together then.

Girl
You know what I mean.

Boy
So this is it? Why?

Girl
I'm sorry
Girl gets up and quickly kisses him on the cheek and walks offstage. Boy begins to follow but then stops and lights fade.
