God Put A Smile On Your Face - Coldplay

Where do we go, nobody knows
I've gotta say I'm on my way down
God give me style and give me grace
God put a smile upon my face
Where do we go to draw the line
I've gotta say, I wasted all your time, oh honey honey
Where do I go to fall from grace
God put a smile upon your face, yeah
Now when you work it out I'm worse than you
Yeah when you work it out, I want it too
Now when you work out where to draw the line
Your guess is as good as mine...
Where do we go, nobody knows
Don't ever say you're on your way down, when..
God gave you style and gave you grace
And put a smile upon your face, oh yeah
Now when you work it out I'm worse than you
Yeah when you work it out, I want it too
Now when you work out where to draw the line
Your guess is as good as mine...
It's as good as mine
As good as mine...
Where do we go, nobody knows
Don't ever say you're on your way down, when..
God gave you style and gave you grace
And put a smile upon your face

Play-A-Day (Day ??)

Lights up on half of the stage in an art studio. There is only one person in the center stage can be either male or female. With this person center stage is a blank face of clay. All of the rest of the head is clearly defined but the expression on the face is non existant. The person then begins to slowly craft the expression on this persons face.

Person
Don't worry it won't be long before we see you smiling again.

As the person begins to craft the face lights come up on the other side of that stage. On this side of the stage there is a teenage girls bedroom in the girls room a girl is sitting in her bed crying trying to pray. She is clinging her pillow tightly looking a picture on her nightstand. She starts at the near worst of her sadness but as the clay face progresses so does the girls mood. Then the person, whose crafting the face, hand slips and places a small but deep cut in the face. On the other side of the stage the girl as she was beginning to cheer up hears her phone next to her ring and she picks it up and after a moment she erupts back into her crying worse than ever. Then she walks offstage balling her eyes out and after a few moments returns onstage with a knife in hand. She walks over to her bed crying and begins to contemplate what to do. On the other side of the stage the person crafting the face frantically is working to fix the error he made in the face as the girl holds the knife to her wrist the person finally finishes the last of the face and now it is smiling and glowing. On the other side of the stage the girl removes the blade from her wrist and takes the picture on her night stand of a boy and drives the knife through it and then throws it to the ground. She then quietly sits on her bed looking at the picture. Finally as the lights begin to fade a small smile crawls across the girls face.

Person
Told you I'd help you smile

Lights fade
